LOS ANGELES, CA. (July 9, 2012) ESP GUITARS, a leading manufacturer of custom guitars, will have the world premiere of its latest horror "monster", the LTD BELA LUGOSI DRACULA GUITAR, at the MONSTERVERSE (MV) ENTERTAINMENT BOOTH at the international pop culture event, SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON 2012 (SDCC 2012). Based upon the international horror film icon, BELA LUGOSI, this ESP guitar has already generated huge interest among rock musicians, horror fans and the worldwide media.
Over 200,000 of the most avid pop culture fans from around the world will descend upon SDCC 2012 from Thursday, July 12th through Sunday, July 15th. They make this media mecca to San Diego to learn of the latest and greatest of the hottest new comic books, movies, TV shows, video games and toys from around the planet.
The Monsterverse booth M-11 (Small Press Section) will give music, horror and comic book fans their first chance to see the highly anticipated LTD Bela Lugosi Dracula Guitar since being announced in June as being available for sale in the Fall 2012. The Lugosi guitar will be on display at the MV booth throughout the convention.
The artwork for the guitar's graphics was created by former Superman, Star Wars and Spider-Man comic artist Kerry Gammill, publisher of Monsterverse Entertainment's line of popular horror books including the acclaimed "BELA LUGOSI'S TALES FROM THE GRAVE" horror anthology series and the award-winning "FLESH AND BLOOD" horror graphic novel series. Both book series will be on sale at the Monsterverse booth along with posters. Monsterverse is known for its stellar contributors from the comic book and film industries such as John Landis, Joe Dante, Rene O'Connor (XENA), John Cassaday (who worked on "ASTONISHING X-MEN" with "THE AVENGERS" director and "BUFFY: VAMPIRE SLAYER" creator Joss Whedon), Steve Niles ("30 Days Of Night", "F.E.A.R. 3", Paul Gulacy, Bruce Timm (animated BATMAN), Basil Gogos (FAMOUS MONSTERS, Rob Zombie album covers), Rick Baker and many more.
In addition to the outstanding "BELA LUGOSI'S TALES FROM THE GRAVE" body graphics, the ESP Bela Lugosi guitar features Dracula-themed inlays, and is designed for high-performance playing with an alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, EMG 81 active pickups, and 24 XJ frets. ESP's new LTD BELA LUGOSI DRACULA GUITAR will be featured at the Monsterverse Comic-Con booth M-11 in the Small Press Section. ESP's other horror-themed guitar models will also be featured as exhibits by "Famous Monsters of Filmland" magazine and Kevin Eastman's "Heavy Metal." ESP, one of the world's leading guitar and bass manufacturers, is already well known as the producer of guitars for Metallica guitarist (and well-known monster/horror enthusiast) Kirk Hammett, among many others. This is your chance to see the Lugosi guitar that is going to rock the living ...and the dead!

Shock Till You Drop says: "Bela Lugosi's Tales from the Grave is a great comic...a fantastic [horror] anthology...Put this one on your pull list kids...it's got more quality work than most of the Big 2's comics ... Maybe it's that I didn't grow up with the comics so I can't appreciate them like some people. Maybe it's the relevance factor, the comics aren't as well known now or as circulated as they once were. I'm not sure. But those reading those comics made me long for an anthology comic of my own, sure we have Dark Horse Presents and The Theater but neither of those have the same feeling that those comics did. But now we have something that channels those comics and fits into the modern horror mythos with Bela Lugosi's Tales from the Grave." -Spencer Perry
